Hunter Series Book 3 and CoronaVirus Update

I realised this morning that I haven’t posted anything to my blog in a while *cough* over a year!

First of all, I hope everyone is keeping safe out there and you’re not going too crazy during lockdown. I know, personally, that I’ve found it difficult, mainly because I have to shield, so I can’t even go out and do a food shop. It sounds mad, but I really miss going to the shops and browsing the aisles (particularly the sweets and cake aisle). I get a bit ridiculously excited about what chocolate, cake or sweets I’m going to get. Gluten Free brownies from Sainsbury’s are a current favourite 😀 As for actual meals – I’ve fallen into a bit of a rut eating the same thing most days – mainly chicken and rice and veg… Not the most exciting!

On a more serious note, I was thrown for a bit of a loop when a close family member of mine was diagnosed with the virus recently. She’s elderly and has asthma, so we were all preparing for the worst. After several weeks in hospital, however, she pulled through and I’m so thankful. Just wanted to give a huge shout out to the amazing NHS staff we have here in the UK! They really did work a miracle.

Anyway, all this time sitting at home has helped me get Book 3 of the Hunter Series well underway. The first draft is very nearly done! 😀 I’ve definitely taken my time with this one. I wanted to give myself breaks and time to think through exactly where I wanted the story to go. It’s been quite strange writing from the perspective of a different character. For those of you who don’t know, the first two books in the series are told from Etty’s perspective. This one, however, is from the perspective of her friend, April. But while it was a bit odd at first, I am loving it! April is so interesting to write. She is so different from Etty in almost every way and it’s been great exploring her character a bit more.

I am so excited about this book! I cannot wait to share it with you all! I love magic and so having a witch as my protagonist is perfect. It’s also been great exploring some new characters… and maybe some old ones make an appearance too :O You’ll get to find out more about April’s past and her powers – something I’ve been wanting to delve into since the first book!

So when is it coming out? December this year (2020). So keep your eyes peeled. I’ll be adding updates on Facebook and Instagram, so make sure you like my page and follow me. And if you haven’t read the first two books, go read them. Book 1 (Etty Steele Vampire Hunter) is free to download and free to listen on YouTube!

Keep safe! Love you guys <3
